The windshield is a constructive part of the vehicle and has a multiple role, both during regular driving and in unwanted situations such as a traffic accident.
Auto glass undergoes rigorous functionality tests, before the first installation on the vehicle, but also as a replacement variant during its exploitation. That is why it is very important to choose good glass and an equally high-quality assembly service. Technicians at Glass service have passed the strictest controls during glass assembly training and have Certificates for repair, assembly and calibration. For this reason, we provide a Lifetime Global Warranty.
The most important functions of the windshield:
- The windshield prevents passengers from falling out of the vehicle in the event of major traffic accidents, even if they are wearing seat belts. Statistics show that 75% of passengers who fall out of a vehicle during an accident do not survive, both because of a direct impact and because of being crushed when the vehicle overturns.
- The windshield is a support when activating the AIR BAG. If the windshield is not in place or is poorly installed, in the case of an accident, the AIR BAGS are no longer inside the vehicle and do not protect the driver or passenger. Instead the AIR BAG ends up outside the vehicle, where it is useless.
- The windshield strengthens the roof structure by up to 60%. During an accident and overturning of the vehicle, the windshield prevents the roof edge from collapsing and thus protects passengers from being crushed, which lead to injury to the passenger's head and most often cause the most serious injuries.
